When I get time out nothing excites me more than the curves of the road as I drive into the country for a weekend with someone special. My friends tell me Im a bit different. I cant see it myself! I suppose Ive got a bit of a quirky sense of humour, but people still get my jokes! Ive travelled a fair bit, mostly in Europe, and I spent six years, from 20 to 26 years of age living and working in Russia, which meant I was able to travel a lot and get to know the country and people. I returned to the UK in 1999 and now work as a Russian translator and interpreter. This professions got a pretty dull reputation, but work as an interpreter means I get to travel in the UK and overseas and I get to see all sorts of interesting people and places. Ive one 7-year-old son who brings me a lot of joy in life. He stays with me for a few days each week, which I always look forward to. He loves The Lord of the Rings, which means Ive gotta read it to him regularly - Ive got the voices off to a tee! Im happy in life and my personal circumstances are good. Im dependable and loyal, both as a friend and a partner. Im looking for these same qualities in my future partner. I want to be with someone whos open minded and sociable. In my free time (not as much as Id like), I get down the gym a 2 or 3 times a week, go out hill walking or cycling, to pubs & (less often)clubs with friends, or out on my motorcycle. Im as happy these days with a night in, cooking diner (no really, I love cooking) and relaxing with a film and a bottle of wine as out until the small hours (though that?s fun too!). Holidays are more dangerous sports and exercise than lounging on the beach, but I like to catch up my reading too (I read allsorts of things these days - thrillers, history and even economics (how sad is that?)). My ideal hols are more South of France than Ibiza! Im looking for a special someone who is caring and vivacious, who enjoys sport, the outdoors & travel, and has their own interests and hobbies.
